Hey guys, wouldn't it be wonderful if we all just had our opinions and respected the fact that not everyone has the same opinion?
Like, it would be pretty rad to have an opinion on something, and be able to tell some people that opinion, and then those people either agree or disagree with your opinion.
The people who agree can be like, "Oh hey, that makes sense because you linked thoughtful and informational articles as well as the equally as well-informed opinions of other people so I can confirm that I do in fact see what you are trying to convey and by my own personal choice, choose to agree with this sentiment".
And then the people who do not agree can all go like, "Oh hey, while I do not agree with this statement even after reading your listed sources and doing my own research on the subject, I can respect your right to have an alternate opinion than me and these are my linked articles and opinion columns to prove my rebuttle".
Then we could like, discuss something like adults.
I would like to show you the incorrect way to be taken seriously:
"YOUR'E A MORALLY WRONG HATE MONGERING IDIOT! STFU AND GO BACK TO THE HOLOCAUST YOU NAZI". and the equally as eloquent, "FUQ YOU, YOU PRISSY STUCK-UP WHINEY RETARD".
Guys, I don't care what side you're on, I understand and respect both arguments. But it's becoming increasingly intolerable to see awesome people of whom most of us love and respect in the fandom (a big cup of tolerance, anyone?) get flamed because of their stance on the name of a fictional pony. Choicely, the person I have in mind has linked plenty of information defending their stance and has ultimately been more than gracious in the faces of 4chan backlash flames. I don't even agree with this person, but the grace in which they have gone about defending their opinion is worthy of my respect and yours.
Please be considerate and discuss these ponies like adults.
