LISTEN TO THE SONG WHILE YOU READ! [link]

This little nightmare has been begging to be finished for a few weeks now. It was supposed to be a cute fun little project that ended up causing me many many hours of grief. That being said, I'm happy with how it came out and I learned a lot by doing it.

I have to say, this is one of the very few times I've ever read a comic and legitimately cried.

When you posted it on Tumblr, I clicked Play and read the comic completely in sync with the lyrics, and it was like watching an animated music video. And every single panel had such perfect composition, matched the song so perfectly, and I really connected with what was happening in each frame. I saw both you and Kate in the characters, and I also saw myself and Evelyn, and I just...I teared up hardcore. It was amazing. It really tugged on my heartstrings.

Anyway, just wanted to share, because so far, I think this is probably your crowning achievement. This is my favorite piece in your entire gallery, bar none.

You are, plain and simple, just amazing. Keep up the great work, Rian!

The effort really shines through, and I think that's what gives it such a feels-inducing touch. It's personal. It's tangible. You've really got a way with connecting to people on a very basic, human level, and it's just awesome.

If you ever start an original comic series, I want to be in line for my copy on opening day, cause I really dig your art and writing style.
